Asian Heritage Museum Sdn Bhd (AHM) is a relatively new social enterprise (meaning society first before profits) incorporated in 2012 in Kuala Lumpur, as a holistic peace & cultural heritage museum DEVELOPMENT and OPERATING corporation to promote sustainable or holistic peace, environment and multi-cultural heritage.
Non-Museum Related Activities
In 2016 and 2017, AHM embark on a new journey in Malaysia, working in conjunction with the venue host, Museum of Asian Art, University of Malaya and with competent cultural services firms and auction houses from China to promote an art & cultural exhibition (View photo gallery) and artefact services such as authentication, appraisal and sale services to Asian artefacts’ collectors in Malaysia.
AHM became high profile when it took over and managed a 30-acre premier historical site called Carcosa Seri Negara (CSN), with derelict and damaged buildings, from April 2017 for a three-year tenancy. The site was initially offered for a period of three months for the filming of the famous Hollywood blockbuster Crazy Rich Asians where than more than 60 percent of the film was shot at the two colonial mansions. AHM was responsible for allowing the shooting (and the subsequent success) of the Hollywood blockbuster “Crazy Rich Asians”. (View Official Trailer of Crazy Rich Asians)
60 percent of the film was shot at the two colonial mansions at Carcosa Seri Negara.
Carcosa (the inner building) was first built in 1897 by the first British High Commissioner, Sir Frank Swettenham and used as the official residence. Seri Negara (the outer building built in 1913 as a government guest house for visiting VVIPs) was the site where much of the country’s Constitution was drafted from 1956 to 1957 and where the nine Rulers signed the Merdeka Agreement on 5 August 1957.
From June 2017, AHM organized, with the collaboration of at least five related government bodies and sponsorship of the corporate sector, the non-profit “Jalan Merdeka” exhibition (View photo gallery) , a most comprehensive account on the struggle of the people from the various ethnic background for Merdeka (Independence) in 1957.
Jalan Merdeka was launched on 31 August 2017 by the Ruler of Negri Sembilan and had been well received by many VVIPs (including the Sultan of Perak), media, NGOs, governmental agencies, educational institutions, foreign missions and the general public.
In another recent high profile role, in February 2020 and at the start of the Pandemic, a non-profit world-class think tank unit (Covid Research Centre or CRC) was set up as to undertake research & analysis on important issues related to Covid-19. The reports & press statements by CRC have been well received and considered to be ahead of the time such as on the issue of wearing of the face mask in public places and the other measures needed to end the pandemic.

Holistic Peace Museum Project
In 2010, the Founder & CEO (FC) of AHM, had legally acquired via the Kuala Lumpur High Court, a large collection of about 2,000 pieces of Asian, colonial, geological and old currency artefacts, in lieu of a large debt owed to his group from a foreign explorer who had absconded.
The latest estimated market value of the collection, especially based on the high value China and other “superstar” artefacts, is more than USD 3 billion.
The plans for AHM have been to develop a USD 500 Million world-class, innovative, multimedia and interactive “International Peace, Environment & Cultural Heritage (IPECH) Museum”. Check out our Museum storybook (2013) and Artist Impression (2015) of our Museum!
Ipech Museum would be a self-funding PFI (Private Funding Initiative). Funding would be via creative monetization of the high value superstar artefacts such as Art Financing Loans and sale and marketing of NFTs (Non Fungible Tokens).
Ipech Museum Sdn Bhd, as part of AHM Group, which was incorporated in Kuala Lumpur on 15 December 2021, would responsible for setting up & operating the museum & related services.
